HOW IT WORKS
A thin applicator is placed within or adjacent to the tumor site .A highly radioactive source delivers a concentrated dose of radiation directly where it’s needed. The treatment is administered over a short period, often in a few outpatient sessions. The applicators are then removed, leaving no radioactive material in the patient’s body.
